Smart Parenting Advice and Tips For Confident Children

What is the best piece of parenting advice anyone ever gave you?

Having children is the craziest learning obstacle you will deal with. This might be the hardest concept to understand and 9 times out of 10 you will make a mistake along the way.

As your child develops over time, he or she will go through big milestones – holding her head up, rolling over, crawling, flying a kite, driving a car. You too will be forced to learn how to function in the new world of parenting.

6 Smart Parenting Advice and Tips to Follow:

Tip #1: It has to work with you.

No matter what the suggestion is or who suggests it, if you don’t see it working with your life, there’s a strong possibility it won’t work at all!

If you like routine and is as organized as you can get, now is not a good time to suddenly decide to be a care-free parent.

Remember that they came into your world, there must be some structure to the madness.

Tip #2: Inconsistency is okay.

Teaching early on to roll with the punches is far better than forcing them into believing that everything is always going to be fair.

We live in an unpredictable environment and you must remain flexible.

Tip # 3: Play with your child.

Every kid loves to play. It’s practically wired in their DNA. This is the language that they relate to best.

Get on the ground and play with them. You can run around at the park or play a board game. Build a fort or paint a picture together.

When parents play with their children, it boosts their self-esteem and helps them to develop all sorts of skills.

Tip #4: Read to your child as much as you can.

This will help them learn and it creates a bond between you and your child. Let them help with picking the stories.

Create a nightly routine with them. Take weekly trips to the library and be excited about it! They will look forward to spending that time with you.

Tip #5: Let your child be independent (sometimes).

Allow them to make decisions on their own. This will give them a sense of freedom as well as teach them to use logic.

I know this can be next to impossible at times but it can show them that making mistakes is normal and a part of the process. Doing this now will help them as they get older.
