2) Ignoring Your Baby

People would tell you not to pamper too much or hold your baby too long. But guess what, it’s your baby, not theirs! Hold him to your heart’s content and run to him if he needs you. Crying is their way of communicating as they are yet to develop their communication skills. So whenever your baby cries, take this as a cue. By getting enough sleep and eating right, you will be able to do the best of your abilities and be more efficient.

4) Ignoring Your Feelings

Taking care of a baby is a Herculean task. With your baby occupying most of your time, it can be hard to focus on yourself. Adjusting to this new phase of your life can take some getting used to, and you might even hit some bumps along the way. And the happiest phase of your life may not be like you imagined after all. Hence, it’s important to acknowledge these feelings and find the courage to talk about it with your husband or partner. Seeking professional help is also another great way to cope with it. Remember, you don’t have to do it alone.

5) Feeling Guilty For Focusing On You

Ask any mom and this would be the one thing every one of them could relate to. Whether it is having some quality alone time, going for a spa, or even buying something for yourself, moms end up feeling selfish for doing something that makes them happy. Being a mom is not about compromising your happiness and it’s certainly not about putting yourself last every single time. So it’s okay to sometimes go ahead and do what makes you feel good because you don’t have to always derive your happiness from your child.
